BFF

Kevin had followed Thomas’s twitter feed long enough to know they had a lot in common and arranged a face to face. Sadly, there were no Starbucks in the neighborhood, so they settled on the old Cajun favorite, Crawfish Pie from a local take-away. That sealed the deal–they were now BFFs until mating season when all bets were off . . .

Black Sheep

Lyndsey was the first to admit, she was a bit of a bad girl–driving fast, sneaking a “roadie” beer, even going out with one of the “bad boys” from time to time.  But when someone tweeted that she was the black sheep of her family, she thought the tweeter should have spent a little less time on social media and a little more time on basic biology . . .

Name Change

When Johnnelle heard that the Washington Redskins had had their Redskins name and logo trademarks  cancelled–supposedly five Native Americans were offended–she emailed the club explaining that she had gone on Facebook and Twitter to poll her fellow butterflies.  Turns out none objected to having a major football club (pointy ball, not round) named after them.  The name “The Butterflies” was theirs for the taking . . .

Cold Feet

Henry hated to admit it–he’d never Tweet it or post in on his Facebook page at the risk of being called wimpy, but dang, he really had cold feet flying here in Alaska.  He wondered: “Shouldn’t I be able to find something, anything, in the way of foot warmers on Amazon or eBay?” . . . . . Flitter

Maurice was looking for a good IP lawyer; he wanted to sue.  He had gone to the Venture Capital guys with his concept–“Flitter”–a quick wireless way for people or organizations to post short messages along with a photo.  Not two weeks after he had shared his idea, along came Twitter, his idea with the name spelled differently,  but definitely his idea.  When the lawyers talked about some kind of settlement, Maurice told his lawyer   his two favorite words were “send money”. . . . .  David, Sf.G.
