A Little Protein

Jack (pictured) had been a vegetarian all his life; in fact, his entire family were vegan.  But with the advent of streaming television on his iPhone and the ongoing Burger King and Pizza Hut ads, Jack was beginning to have an unending craving for a little animal protein.  The Chili’s ad for Baby Back Ribs put him over the top–he was going to go for the all you can eat option. . .

Drought/Flood Conundrum

David, thinking outside the box, tried to figure out how to ship Texas’ excess flood water to California.  Gov. Brown was receptive, but his constituency wanted to know if it was vegan; had it crossed borders legally; would it need Government help once it arrived, and did it qualify for ObamaCare?  The nuts & bolts part–how to physically get it there–seemed to be lost somehow.  The Libs worried a water pipeline might be used to move Texas oil to California.  And who would they name it after–George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Cher, Lady Gaga? Gov. Brown was open, but the Californians were firm–NO BUSH . . .!

Vegan Dreams

Eldridge had found veganism on the web, and he was convinced that was the future, at least for him.  But how do you catch broccoli, cabbage, strawberries or rutabagas in a web–orb or cob . . .?

Lifestyle Change

Charlie was thinking of a major lifestyle change–going vegan at least two days a week.  All the medical journals said the Atkins-style diets, with all the red meat you can eat, had bad long term health effects.  He knew the rodents that composed the bulk of his diet were red meat, but he wasn’t too sure about snakes or frogs.  Still, even though it was good for him (or so they said), the idea of eating berries, fruits, seed, nuts or grass was making this a hard decision.  And what would the neighbors say? . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Tough to Swallow

It was a tough day; Lyndsie had finally come out of the closet and told her family she was Vegan.  They found it tough news to swallow. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Diet Issues

Jeremy was trying to figure out his dietary restrictions; he didn’t keep Kosher, he didn’t observe Halal restrictions, and he wasn’t guilty of offending Hindus by eating beef, nor was he a vegan; all he ate was mice.  Frogs and snakes were always an option, but even after watching Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern eat weird stuff, he just couldn’t get his head around amphibians or reptiles  . . . .  David, Sf.G.
