Maintaining The Right Image

In his weekly speech to the public, the president talked about hard choices for the good of the country.  For instance, with rising costs and political tension, it was necessary for the office of the president to maintain a a strong, prosperous image by flying everywhere in Air Force One.  To make that happen, he suggested that everyone junk their high performance gas guzzlers and buy the Dutch “Little Red Wagons” shown above.  Ted Cruz and the Texans didn’t seem to see it quite the same way . . .

Down Town

“Some things don’t translate from one language to another very well,” thought Gui Kun; for example, his current dilemma–because he was looking down at Hong Kong from Victoria Peak, did that mean he was Uptown . . . ?

5 Second Rule

In Ferguson MO, the protest agitators had warned the citizens to observe the 5 second rule:  Don’t eat anything that’s been dropped and stays on the ground for more than 5 seconds.  Since much of the produce grew in or on the ground, and other veggies may have been on the ground while harvesting, the veggie stall owner escaped the wrath of the protesters . . . there wasn’t much of a building to burn anyway, and how do you get lettuce to burn?

Early Fleetwood Mac

In an early concert, the precocious Stevie Nicks (center) and Mick Fleetwood (Violin)  had teamed up with Jimmy Page (accordion–and later of Led Zeppelin fame) to do a public performance and test the waters.  Johnnie Cash was out for a bathroom break, but was going to sing “Yellow Brick Road” on his return . . .

No Respect

It had been bad enough being banned for life from World Wrestling for not not following the script (hard to believe, I know) and actually winning fair and square.  Then, out of work, to make a little money and use his wrestlers body, Igor took a job as a male model at the prestigious Barcelona Art Institute, posing mostly nude (and pretty cold), only to have the pigeons add insult to injury.  He couldn’t help but think of the old Rodney Dangerfield line, “I don’t get no respect . . .”
