Color Blind

As the girls got off the tour bus and walked into the hotel in Memphis, they were surprised to be asked if they had come for the Democratic convention.  “No,” they said, “wrong kind of blue. We’re here  there for the B. B. and Albert King Blues concert; we heard K. D. Lang and Marcia Ball may show as well!”. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Being Blonde

For some reason Patty couldn’t understand, being blonde had always been equated with “not the sharpest knife in the drawer” and similar ideas.  She didn’t have any trouble making a living though; in fact, she was thinking of running for political office–perhaps she could chair the Congressional Committee on Blonde Affairs.. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

3D

Ethan (pictured) was glad he had talked to his buddy Clint before going to the new Avatar 3D movie; Clint told him the cardboard 3D glasses wouldn’t fit his wide head. Apparently, they were made for skinny-headed pencil-necked people. Take along the Swiss Army Knife and a little duct tape and every thing will be just fine. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Lady Gaga’s Degree

JoAnn, although no longer a kid, was still a fan of Lady Gaga, and when she got an official Gaga Tweet that the University of Phoenix (on line) was going to grant Lady Gaga an honorary degree in “Entertaining Lifestyle Counseling,” she knew she had to crash the party.  She hoped that her own personal style would also be entertaining.  . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Exfoliating

As part of the weekend spa package Jill had given herself after dumping her useless football-watching, beer-drinking boyfriend, she had been told that the mud bath was good for exfoliating the dead dry skin cells and rejuvenating her dry, cracked, scaly skin, but she didn’t think it was working . . . . .  David, Sf.G.
