Everyone was in a hurry; the Senator was giving out free tickets for the wedding of his son, and the rumor had it that he was also showing everyone his new gun.  After all, it was Montana. . .

Abhors Violins

For a minute, Sarah was very concerned. While practicing her violin, she had the TV on with the sound down, and saw a politician with the closed caption below saying that the politician abhorred Violins. Being from Montana, she knew the government was trying to control guns, but why musical instruments? Then she saw the correction–the closed captions had misspelled “violence”.. . . . . David, Sf.G.

Truth in Advertising

The “For Sale by Owner” advertisement on the Internet had referred to the building as “Quaint”, “Lots of country charm,” “One of a kind” and the statement, “Need for some minor repairs forces seller to accept a lower price.”  The ad also said “pictures on request.”  It soon became clear why pictures weren’t included in the original Craig’s List ad. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Girls’ Night Out

Chloe, Twyla and Lu Anne all agreed; they needed a girls’ night out.  The problem came when deciding on what to do. Chloe wanted to go to the sushi bar and maybe have some sake; Twyla wanted to see the new Slasher/Texas Chainsaw Massacre  flick; and Lu Anne wanted to see Cirque du Soleil, who happened to be in town, or the local production of “Cats”.  There didn’t seem to be a lot of common ground. . . . .  David, Sf.G.
