Global Warming

Obamacare Approved

Surprisingly, when Jim, a Montana farmer, checked the fine print in the new Affordable Health Care Law, he found that architectural orthopedic care was available for historical barns like his (Page 2309, paragraph 3, subsection 21-b), but there was a waiting list. Once the architectural orthopedics facility being built in Hanover, New Hampshire was completed–which was expected to be not later than July 2037–Jim could bring his barn, but, of course, all transport costs were to be borne by the historical artifact (barn) owner.  There was also a panel that would decide which historical artifacts (barns) would be accepted and which would be simply torched, even though torching may contribute to global warming. The Government insisted this was not an architectural “death panel”  . . .

Finally

Finally, winter seemed to be over after one of the longest, coldest winters in history.  Now the girls could shed that extra winter fluff and get back to being slim and sun-browned.  They also planned to write to Al Gore and see about this global warming thing . . .

Under the Dome

Leonard, inspired by the TV series ” Under the Dome,” thought that maybe with global warming and loss of his natural Arctic habitat that he could live in Texas if he used his own dome.  It worked–sort of–but was a little more confining than he had anticipated, and deliveries of pizza were problematic.  Sewer connections were also a concern.  . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Embarrassing

Juliette hated dirty jokes, and everyone at work knew it and usually respected her opinion.   Not bothering to share them with her saved them a heartfelt tongue lashing.   When Polly slipped one in without warning one day, Juliette thought her blush was so red and hot she might have Al Gore after her for global warming. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Thermals

Edgar was certain Al Gore was wrong–in fact he was part of the problem.  Yes, global warming was a man made problem, but it wasn’t industry or autos that were the cause.  The lift from rising thermals over areas where politicians spewed hot air–the White House, Congress, any Governor’s  Mansion, any State House or mayor’s offices or city council chambers–was significantly better than the hot air over any industrial area or freeway during rush hour. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Not Its Intended Purpose

Like the Internet, Al Gore designed and invented the “Eye of London” and convinced the Londoners that soon Global Warming would make the River Thames rise, and the Eye could be used as a giant water wheel to generate electric power. In the meantime, the ride on the “Eye” was cheap (it was electric powered), but like Al’s Global Warming theories, didn’t seem to be going anywhere . . . . .  David, Sf.G.
