Vampire Movies

It seems that “You are what you eat” could have an extension–“You are what you watch”–as well.  After watching just one vampire movie on TV, The Princess Buttercup (brown, top) couldn’t get the concept out of her mind . . .

Not Covered

When the pool guy came to perform the usual services provided under the standard pool maintenance contract, he had to inform Belinda that  alligator removal and relocation was not part of the package, even if the gator had eaten Fifi, the cockapoo, and the cat . . .

Westley just appeared in school one day, and was considered a bit odd–standoffish even. But how do you explain to your fellow kids–or the teacher for that matter–that he had been raised by wolves and had been sent to school by the pack to learn how to make fire and McRib sandwiches . . .

Turtle Years vs Dog Years

Clyde (pictured) was trying to do his doctoral dissertation for Veterinary Medicine, comparing dog years to human years, and then calculating Turtle Years. The well know scientific fact is that a human year is equal to seven dog years, depending on the size of the dog. Turtles however, often live as much as 400 human years. How do you calculate that? Wikipedia had almost nothing on this subject, nor did YouTube, except for several versions of Janis Joplin’s “Turtle Blues”. It was slow going . . .

Calculating Dog Years

When Snuffy the Wonder Dog applied for his pilot’s license, he was told that 4 years old was not sufficient; you had to be at least 16. When Snuffy tried to explain the concept of dog years (7 dog years for each human year, actually making him 28) to the bureaucrat, it seemed like the man’s eyes just sort of glazed over. . .
