Thermals

Edgar was certain Al Gore was wrong–in fact he was part of the problem.  Yes, global warming was a man made problem, but it wasn’t industry or autos that were the cause.  The lift from rising thermals over areas where politicians spewed hot air–the White House, Congress, any Governor’s  Mansion, any State House or mayor’s offices or city council chambers–was significantly better than the hot air over any industrial area or freeway during rush hour. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

A Bad Name

Steve (center) was complaining to his buddies, Howard (left) and Guillermo (right), that one of the presidential candidates had given them all a bad name by calling the other candidate “A vulture capitalist”.  Guillermo reminded him that nobody took what they said seriously, and that as usual, 99% of the politicians gave the other 1% a bad name. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Doing The Impossible

For Jim, going up or down the tree had never been that hard; one was as easy as the other. His friends at university, though, thought he needed to go into politics–being able to change directions so easily was the mark of a good politician . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Technical Difficulties

After reading the online reviews of the new iPhone, Herbert was convinced that it was his tool, his destiny, but when it arrived, and he tried to use the touch screen to program it, not much happened.  A closer look at the specs revealed that the touch screen is heat sensitive, and it had a warning that the touch screen may not work well for cold-blooded users like frogs, politicians or tort lawyers in less than summer-like conditions . . . . .  David, Sf.G.
