GPS Issues

Lizzie (not pictured) couldn’t decide if Jeff, her fiance (pictured, under water), had gotten cold feet about getting married and was heading back out to sea to avoid the humiliation of calling off the wedding or if he had forgotten to download the updates for his GPS  . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Big Sale

The girls’ husbands couldn’t believe it; the girls had actually told them, “buy lots of beer, chips, and frozen pizzas, and have a ‘guys’ day.’ We girls are just going to do a little shopping.”  The new upscale outlet market just sent out an Email to Denise–kind of the ring leader–that there would be a big sale on Jimmy Choos, Gucci, Coach, and Ralph Lauren.   Hopefully, the boys had bought enough beer and chips to keep them busy all afternoon. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Truth in Advertising

The “For Sale by Owner” advertisement on the Internet had referred to the building as “Quaint”, “Lots of country charm,” “One of a kind” and the statement, “Need for some minor repairs forces seller to accept a lower price.”  The ad also said “pictures on request.”  It soon became clear why pictures weren’t included in the original Craig’s List ad. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

No More Big Gulps

While checking the Internet for daily news, Jose (his friends called him JoJo, and in spite of his Spanish first name, did not pronounce it HoHo) learned that the mayor of New  York had banned Big Gulps or any drink over 16 ounces.  That ruled out New York for his vacation, but what the hay, he liked Las Vegas better anyway. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Decisions

The guys had cut back on their after work beer for most of the year, trying to save enough money to go to the Super Bowl, but the only tickets available were from the eBay scalpers and they just hadn’t saved enough for tickets and the travel costs.  Maybe they could make the NBA finals if they could get tickets early enough.  And anyway, the Rams weren’t playing. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Fiscal Cliff Tour

Aubrey had heard nothing but news about the impending fiscal cliff for weeks.  Like a presidential aide after a recent hurricane said, no crisis should go unexploited–Aubrey decided to monetize the fiscal cliff by offering guided tours. Business got even better as the December 21st “end of the Mayan Calendar” got closer . . . . .  David, Sf.G.
