Fear of Leeches

Until Gilbert–watching the classic movie channel–had seen the old Humphrey Bogart/Katharine Hepburn classic, African Queen, and had seen Bogey covered with leeches, he had never thought much about the problem.  Now he was almost dehydrated, staying out of the water, fearing that leeches would attack and suck him dry of blood while in the water in spite of the tough scales that armored most of his body. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

3D

Ethan (pictured) was glad he had talked to his buddy Clint before going to the new Avatar 3D movie; Clint told him the cardboard 3D glasses wouldn’t fit his wide head. Apparently, they were made for skinny-headed pencil-necked people. Take along the Swiss Army Knife and a little duct tape and every thing will be just fine. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Exfoliating

As part of the weekend spa package Jill had given herself after dumping her useless football-watching, beer-drinking boyfriend, she had been told that the mud bath was good for exfoliating the dead dry skin cells and rejuvenating her dry, cracked, scaly skin, but she didn’t think it was working . . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Noise in the Back

Jordan kept telling her boyfriend that she heard quite a lot of noise in the back of the truck; he blew her off and said, “It’s probably just loose tools or empty beer cans–don’t worry.”  And then one day he checked and was pretty sure he found the cause of the noise . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Mud Wrestling Ain’t Fake

Many people considered television wrestling fake.  But Angie (pictured) knew mud wrestling was far from fake; after all, she had just won the girls’ regional mud-wrestling championship.  She was concerned, however, that her ex-boyfriend had videoed the whole thing with his iPhone and it would soon end up on YouTube.  With her parents not approving of drinking, dancing, or rock music, she wasn’t sure how they’d take it. . . . .
