Free Range

As PETA planned their new world headquarters in Beijing, they were dedicated not only to ethical treatment for animals, but for everything, including building materials. Sourcing free range sand, gravel, cement, structural steel and especially wood was proving difficult and very expensive . . .

Fencing Sale

Conrad thought he’d fence his yard to keep out stray dogs, noisy neighbor kids, and just to have a little privacy. After checking Home Depot and Lowes, his brother suggested he check the Internet, and not surprisingly, a number of Chinese merchants offered fencing for substantially less money. Though priced lower than he had expected, Conrad had some doubts that the merchant could actually deliver the product pictured on the website . . .

Buyer Beware

Roger, like a lot of first-time Alibaba.com buyers, found that reading the fine print when buying on-line from China was important. He was quite disappointed to find that the horse-drawn wagon he ordered on-line didn’t come with a seat, a bed, horses, or cupholders.
