Global Warming

Long Term Rates

As Lucinda watched first the male hummingbird fatten up and then the chicks getting fat and  ready for the flight from Texas to South America, she wondered, why couldn’t she just negotiate a long term winter rate with Motel 6, stay the winter, and save the grueling flight over open ocean, the FARC rebels in Colombia, Hugo Chavez in Venezuela and who knew what else and the effects of global warming, and just stay home.  She couldn’t help wondering what sugar laced hummingbird flatulence from those fat males was doing for global warming . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Better Than a Chevy Volt

While touring China, the President saw what he thought of as an excellent alternative to big gas guzzling campers. It was cheaper to run than a Chevy Volt–in fact, it could be run on beans and cabbage for the pedaler.  It sounded like a dream come true, the best of all worlds including exercise for the operator, until someone on staff pointed out the methane issue from the “processed” cabbage and beans that could cause global warming. . . . .  David, Sf.G.
