Elective Surgery

While traveling in another country, Jack felt unwell and went to the local emergency room.  There the doctor told him he needed a triple bypass and should replace an aortic valve.  “Never fear,” said the doctor, “we have the latest robotic surgery equipment; in fact,  here, let me take you to see an operation in progress from the balcony in the operating room.”  After a few minutes, Jack elected to wait until he returned home for a second opinion and further treatment. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Not Too Cuddly

One of the reasons Javier had chosen to visit Amsterdam was that the girls were supposed to be warm and friendly–welcoming.  Javier, however, found them, although looking provocative, to be somewhat stiff, cold, and remote. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Early AlGoreRhythms

Even at a very young age, Al Gore (pictured, left, standing, with Violin) was very ambitious;  in addition to planning to be a ruler of the free world,  invent the Internet, and save the planet, young Al had a strong musical talent.  Above is a recently discovered photo of him showing his typical strong leadership by organizing an early version of his band, the AlGoreRhythms. . . . .
