Mistaken Identity

Angelina told her boyfriend, Brad, she wished people would quit mistaking her for the other Angelina, the actress, and asking for autographs every time she went to the grocery store.  “Don’t be so touchy,” he said, “you look a lot like her–long elegant legs, big pouty lips, the whole package”.  . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Be Sure to Gargle

Julia was trying to put into practice the advice she got after asking her dentist about lingering bad breath, especially after eating fish.  “Just brush thoroughly,’ he said, “and be sure to gargle with a good mouthwash” . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Disappointed in Technology

La Verne was disappointed in technology.  All her life she had envied the songbirds–the “tweets”–and their beautiful songs ringing out in the wood or in the meadows.  Then she heard about Twitter; just go on line and sign up and you can immediately start “tweeting”.  Her neighbors were quick to point out that the result of her attempted “tweets” missed the mark and were quite disappointing; she was never going to sound like a robin or a  meadowlark. . . .  David, Sf.G.
