A selection of Bugs
Hung Out to Dry
Karla’s results at managing her investment portfolio had been mixed, some really good choices, some not so good; then Darryl, a high-powered stock broker, said he could help. He claimed to have “research” that guided his stock picks and when FaceBook was at $44 per share, he called her with a strong buy recommendation. She had been very leery, but bowed, in the end, to his expertise and “research”. Now with the stock trading at $34 and promising to go lower, Darryl wasn’t taking her calls; his assistant said he was busy doing “research” and she felt like she had been hung out to dry. . . . . Green With Envy
Josh (pictured) and his best buddy, Dan, had applied to Dancing With The Stars and hoped to dance with Adele; much to their surprise both had been granted a tryout. Josh had always had this funky disco thing going, but Dan favored ballroom dancing, and that seemed to be the way the judges leaned as well. Josh was green with envy but all his friends said, “Don’t let it bug you”. . . . . David, Sf.G.
