Lost

As Kevin found out, the weather can play tricks on you–He had just gone to the nearby Subway for a sandwich when he got caught in the fog. Not planning to be out long, he hadn’t put on his Rolex, so accurate timing was difficult, but it seemed like a long time before he was able to see ground again, and here he was, not in coastal Texas, but coastal Lake Michigan in Wisconsin. He noted that these Cheese Heads talked funny, not like normal folks back in Texas . . .

Shovel Ready Jobs

Karl and Claudia were disappointed; while summering in northern Wisconsin, they had heard that there were shovel ready jobs in Texas, and so migrated early. Even though they were Northern Shovelers by birth (hatching?) and had their own shovels, there were no jobs; all the funding had been spent on Solyndra.

Ice Fishing

When Jim Bob from the Texas Gulf Coast went to Wisconsin in January to visit his uncle, he saw quite a few men out on the frozen lake and was told they were ice fishing.  “Why,” Jim Bob asked “did they have to fish for ice when they clearly had a whole lake full of the stuff; if they needed ice that bad, why not just go to the convenience store?”. . .
