Elaine was under the gun–this breeding plumage would only last so long.  The guys she met speed dating talked about little more than the 15 inch mullet they had caught for breakfast–or last year’s mate.  The online dating sites and singles bars hadn’t been any better.  She had hoped to find a math or science guy; some one to boost the collective gene pool percentile numbers  . . .

Horticultural Speed Dating

Geena, concerned about the short pollinating season and wanting the best offspring for the next generation, decided to try connecting with the new Horticultural Speed Dating group that was recently formed in her neighborhood.   Although not sure just how things worked, she had seen a petunia across the room that was a real hunk and hoped she could get the 7 minutes allotted per speed date to have a chance to chat him up. . . . . . Speed Dating

Eugenia had not had much success in finding a boyfriend, much less someone to marry, and she was worried that her biological clock was ticking.   Speed dating seemed a little over the top, but then she was a little desperate.  Her sister had told her the reason she had run off the boys in the past was that she was a little too aggressive, too forward.  She promised herself she would keep that in mind.  . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Girls Just Want to Have Fun

Chloe, Lucy, Ginger, and Twyla Sue were pretty sure that guys were watching too much reality television, especially the bachelor -type programs; it seemed as though all of the guys they had dated recently got all serious right from the get-go.  The girls didn’t  want to talk about the color of the future nursery, or  trading in the Corvette for a minivan, they just wanted to have a good time and see if the chemistry was there. . . And if the reality show guys were bad, the speed dating guys were worse. . . . . David, Sf.G.
