Being Blonde

For some reason Patty couldn’t understand, being blonde had always been equated with “not the sharpest knife in the drawer” and similar ideas.  She didn’t have any trouble making a living though; in fact, she was thinking of running for political office–perhaps she could chair the Congressional Committee on Blonde Affairs.. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Passed Over

Giselle was more than a little unhappy–she had been passed over once again.  She had been promised a new cabinet position, Secretary of Reptile Affairs.  She had the qualifications, she could speak with a forked tongue, her slithering was unrivaled, she was by definition cold blooded, what could possibly have gone wrong? . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Up In Smoke

A Little Crabby

It had been meant to be a fun family gathering to watch the Texans/Ravens match, but as the non-stop political ads kept coming, so did the political polarization of the family. The wrangling and bickering never ended; in fact, it might be said by game’s end they were all a little crabby. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Wrong Turn

While heading for a tailgating party at the Huskers football game, Joel had gotten quite caught up in a talk show program about politics. It wasn’t until his wife pointed out the low fuel light, and the kids asked, “Are we there yet?”  that he looked up to see where he was. As he looked around,  he was pretty sure it wasn’t the Huskers stadium. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

The Right Crowd

Earlier in the week Julia (7th row, 23rd from left) had  planned to attend the presidential debate, and knowing it would be highly polarized, wore her bright red shirt to show her party affiliation.   She had been worried about finding her fellow political ideologues, but was pretty sure in the end she found the right crowd.. . . . .  David, Sf.G.
