Wrong Turn

While heading for a tailgating party at the Huskers football game, Joel had gotten quite caught up in a talk show program about politics. It wasn’t until his wife pointed out the low fuel light, and the kids asked, “Are we there yet?”  that he looked up to see where he was. As he looked around,  he was pretty sure it wasn’t the Huskers stadium. . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Too Thin

Josie, lead singer of The Buffalo Gals Montana Country Choir (they had played once with Al Gore & the AlGoreRhythms), had been told all her life she was a beauty and should run for Miss Montana.  The judges, however, said she was too thin . . . . .  David, Sf.G.

Speedo Blues

Harvey was more than a little depressed; he had watched with awe and admiration the diving competition at the Olympics on TV at his favorite sports bar. He decided to give diving a try at the local YMCA.  His girlfriend was visiting New York and promised to bring Harvey a Speedo (they were hard to find in Montana).  All she could find in his size was in pink, which Harvey thought was not all that masculine and proper for an Olympic contender,  especially when he saw the embroidered “Save The Ta Tas” logo displayed across the backside . . . .  David, Sf.G.

A River Runs Through It

Tommy had seen the Brad Pitt movie, “A River Runs Through It,” 20 times and had watched more fishing shows that  anyone he knew. He had been longing to fish the Montana rivers for trout for years.  When he finally got to Montana and had a look at the Kootenai River in the spring, he decided wade fishing may not be an option . . . . .  David, Sf.G.
