Social Media Withdrawal Symptoms

Eliza had dropped her iPhone, and the cell phone repair store told her it would be a week or more to get it repaired.  That was only  two days ago, and she was already  having Social Media Withdrawal Symptoms; who knew how many E-mails, tweets, Snapchat posts and Instagram messages she had missed.  She couldn’t afford a new hand held device–her boy friend suggested counselling . . .

A Little Protein

Jack (pictured) had been a vegetarian all his life; in fact, his entire family had been vegans.  But with the advent of streaming television on his iPhone and ongoing Burger King and Pizza Hut ads, Jack was beginning to have an unyielding craving for a little animal protein.  The Chili’s ad for Baby Back Ribs put him over the top, he was going to go for the all you can eat option

Fantasy Anything

Consuelo’s husband Gregory had played Fantasy Football just once–and was now wallowing in helpless addiction. He carried five iPhones to keep up with Fantasy Golf, Skeet Shooting, Bowling, even Fantasy Curling (Who knew that even existed?)! March Madness only made things worse. He claimed that soon he could make enough prize money on Fantasy games to quit his job and just game for the winnings. She was hoping he’d forget the iPhones in his pants pockets as they went in the washing machine, maybe allowing for a weekend at Fantasy Island for them . . .
