Alaskan Fuel Economy

Kimbo (lead dog) was a firm believer in the old Alaskan adage, “If you’re not the lead dog, the scenery never changes.” This led him his team to embrace a somewhat cavalier attitude towards the “green” movement; after all, there were few places you could plug in an electric car such as the Chevy Volt or the Nissan Leaf, and when actual fuel was used, it was measured in kibbles per mile rather than miles per gallon.

The Need for Speed

Horace felt the need for speed like an addict needs drugs.  He found what promised to be the ultimate fix on eBay, and while interior room was going to be compromised–not to mention fuel mileage–it promised to be the speed fix he craved . . .

Questionable Fuel Mileage

Clearance and traction would be no problem for Bob’s new rig for his upcoming move to western New York state, and there were always the lifting eyes on the roof so the highway department rescue helicopter could just lift him and his rig out if he got stuck in a snow bank.  As gas prices leveled off and started to rise  he was somewhat concerned about  fuel mileage . . .
