Flood Insurance

As the tropical depression turned into a tropical storm (perhaps later a hurricane), Verne (pictured) was trying to remember if he had paid his flood insurance premium. Of course, unlike most folks, he was just as happy if the flood came . . .

A Little Crabby

Elise hadn’t minded the lack of privacy that came with running for public office, in her case for Lt Governor.  She felt strongly about her “Crustaceans’ rights” platform.  At one point, she had been accused of trying to claw her way to the top. She didn’t mind the accusation, but she hated that she had to have someone, a non crustacean, hold her up to face the cameras.  It was demeaning, as well,  trying to find a place to hook the lapel microphone for these media events.

Kinda Crabby

Yes, Beau was feeling kind of crabby.  He had clawed his way to the top only to find his girlfriend was still just as shallow, grasping, and shellfish (er, selfish) as she had always been.  Worse, she still kept talking to that little shrimp just to bait him.  Seemed to him like there was something fishy going on, but every time he’d ask her about it she would just clam up, said if he didn’t like it to get some oyster (er again–other) girl . . .
