Casablanca

“I Came to Take the Waters”

Trying to get into the part of Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) in a new version of Casablanca, aspiring actor Bob gets “I came to take the waters” OK.   However, when told that Casablanca is in the desert and the next script line is “I must have been mistaken”, he just doesn’t come across as very sincere . . .

A Kiss is Still A Kiss

True, it didn’t summon up memories of Bogart and Bergman with Sam playing “As Time Goes By (A Kiss Is Just A Kiss)”, or Burton and Taylor in Cleopatra, or Westley and Buttercup in the final scene of The Princess Bride (rated the most passionate and purest kiss of all time), but, hey, they were snakes.  They probably weren’t going to be chosen to be on “Dancing With The Stars”, either. . . . . For the Waters

Like Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, Henri’s favorite line when asked  why he was there was, “I came for the waters”. . . .  David, Sf.G.
